Mangifera indica (Mango) [photo taken 30 July 2001] This mango, purchased at a supermarket, had a split pit containing a sprouted seed. I removed it from the fruit on 30 July 2001 and placed it in a plastic bag with a wet paper towel. I am looking forward to growing a healthy mango tree.
